He takes aim at targets ranging from mainstream consumerism to the American dream. With his pop aesthetic, D * Face references cartoon characters such as Mickey and celebrities such as Kurt Cobain, loading instantly recognizable icons with significance to touch on death, excess and greed. The artist cites New York's graffiti and skateboarding cultures as formative influences, and his work sometimes evokes the styles of Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. D * Face has exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Barcelona, Paris, Melbourne, Tokyo and Taipei, and his public works can be found in many other cities.
